My wife and I spent a week in the Pine Cabin and it was wonderful! We couldn’t of asked for anything more. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything but personal items. The view from the porch and the hot tub is AMAZING!!

The view from this cabin is stunning! I would have been content to just stare out the big picture window for the duration of our stay. The location is QUIET and peaceful. Wonderful getaway from the hustle and bustle of every day life. If you stay in the winter, don’t expect to stay in the hot tub long since it cools down quickly with the cover off. And bring firewood! The fireplace is a cozy feature. The heating unit in the cabin is a little confusing to operate and it will take awhile for the place to warm up in the winter months but the beds are super cozy with fleece sheets and a heated mattress pad. You will absolutely need four wheel drive and/or snow tires to navigate the narrow road to the cabin in the winter. The kitchen is well stocked so as long as you bring enough food, you would never have to leave the cabin during your stay! Although, there are great dining options available nearby. Diana is a great host!

Response from Pine Creek Cabins

Thank you for the review. The cabin might get a little chilly due to it being built in 1960. But with the wall heater and the fireplace used in the dead of winter helps a lot. The hot tub does cool down in the winter, but that’s something I cannot control. We also recommend no more then 20 minutes in the hot tub. So I believe it works perfect. The road isn’t always super narrow, we just got an extra huge amount of snow this year and it gets to the point where there is no where to put it. But it still sounds like you loved the cabin and really that’s all that matters in the end.

AMAZING ACCOMODATIONS!!!

We were in love from the minute we arrived! The views are absolutely breathtaking! We enjoyed every minute of our time there! Some highlights: Gazing at the stars from the hot tub, grilling out and eating at the picnic table looking over the mountains, being close to Estes Park proper. We are already looking at booking again in January. Can’t recommend highly enough!!!

This past visit was our 3rd time staying at one of these cabins, and as they say, “The third time’s a charm.” This cabin is quaint, perfect for our small family, and the views are unbelievable. No matter the time of day, whether you’re observing from the dining room table, the living room couch, or the bubbling hot tub, you will always have a magical view to appreciate. Add that it’s close to town and Rocky Mountain Nat’l Park, and you’ve got the perfect getaway. I’m already planning our next visit!

This cabin was absolutely outstanding! It was the perfect place to wind down for a weekend! Super cozy feel to the cabin which made it feel like home away from home! And the VIEWS!! I believe this cabin has the best views you can find without breaking the bank! Will definitely be coming back to this one!

We arrived at this cabin and could not get over the views. They are the best we have seen from a cabin in the 6 years we have been coming to Estes Park. To top it off, you can sit in the hot tub and see them all. Diana has always been a pleasure to mark arrangements with, even when we had to change dates because of Covid. I have been staying at the Pine Creek Cabin rentals since 2015 and will continue to use them each time we come to Estes Park as they are the best and have most reasonable rates!

You can’t find a better view anywhere! Especially for the price! We spent more time at the cabin then we planned because we felt so comfortable and at peace there. Kitchen was fully stocked, my only negative was the propane tank for the grill must have been empty because it didn’t work and the hot tub was a bit cooler than normal. But really you can’t beat this cabin. You will enjoy your stay! Thanks again!

My wife and I truly loved the Pine Cabin.

Plenty of privacy, with the cabin backed up against a mountain- waking to the view out the bedroom window of wild turkeys and deer, and enjoying the stars and the coyotes at night from the hot tub!

A well-stocked kitchen, cozy bed, and very clean throughout. Perfect location outside town, and close to the RMNP entrance.

We spent 5 nights here in June while visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. Returning each night to this comfortable cabin, relaxing in the jacuzzi and enjoying the view was our idea of heaven. It was just far enough out of town for peace and quiet but a quick drive to restaurants, groceries and of course getting into the park.

This is our second stay at a cabin in Estes Park and it was the best by far. The cabin was clean and comfortable with a tremendous view. Absolutely breathtaking view – especially in the morning and from the hot tub! The cabin was clean and stocked with everything we needed. Close enough to town to run in for groceries, etc., but far enough away that you are secluded and really get the “mountain cabin” experience. Can’t say enough good things! Will definitely be returning.

Estes Park is beautiful! This was our 2nd time to visit. I was disappointed because last time we stayed near the river. The cabin here has AMAZING views of the town! At night it’s even better! Very simple cabin, but it met our needs. Saw elk, mule deer and a huge coyote (or could’ve been a wolf) at various times. The hot tub was a huge hit with views of the lights of town down below! We chose this cabin ultimately because we were traveling with another couple, no kids, and this place had 2 queen sized beds! A great deal of places had bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom! (Since our kids are grown, we didn’t want a place like that, would’ve appreciated bunk beds about 15 years ago) As I said before, very simple cabin, but cute decor! A steep driveway, but you’re heading up the mountain so duh! We enjoyed the deck, drinking coffee in the morning with our little chipmunk/ground squirrel friends zipping here or there! All in all, nothing fancy but a nice place to relax! We would stay there again!

Wonderful, Awe-Inspiring, peaceful, relaxing. What other superlatives can I say! We’ve stayed at Ponderosa Lodge twice before and it’s nice but this heavenly spot surpasses it in shear beauty and delight. My wife said she could come again for extended stay and just enjoy the views and abundant wildlife right outside the front door, Elk, coyotes, chipmunks, various birds, etc. I agree hopefully the good Lord will allow us a few more years on this earth and we can come back. You’ve done a magnificent job of renovating cabin and making it a dream come true vacation spot.

Thank you!

What a find for our stay in Estes Park!! The location is ideal for easy access into Rocky Mountain National Park without having to deal with the city traffic and crowds. Also conveniently located to grocery stores and other amenities. The cabin is extremely comfortable and everything you could need is there from kitchen supplies to comfortable beds. The view is beyond anything we could have imagined! There are several decks to choose from to look at the mountains. If we lived there we would never get to work on time because sitting and drinking our coffee with that view would make it impossible to leave! We were happy we had our Honda CRV because the driveway is a little rough but well worth the bumpy drive to get to the top.

Everything I imagined a cabin in the mountains in the winter would be. The perfect winter vacation home. Close to RMNP and the perfect place to come home to after a day of hiking and sledding. The views of the mountains are breathtaking and the cabin is warm and cozy. It was lovely to read in front of the fireplace or soak in the hot tub in the cold after a long day. The cabin is most beautiful in the snow. Can not recommend enough. The pine cabin is perfection and the owners are lovely. I cannot wait to come back and am so grateful that the owners opened up their cabin to us.

We stayed here while snowshoeing in RMNP in Mid-March 2015(calendar wouldn’t let me go back that far). We loved warming up by the fire each evening after snowshoeing. The view is fantastic and though we didn’t use it, there is a hot tub. The cabin was very clean and the kitchen was well appointed. We had deer in the yard in the mornings and plenty of elk wandering around Estes Park. Diana was easy to deal with and we would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I own a business in Denver, so we rarely get out of town. When we found out we had friends coming in town from Canada we decided to bite the bullet and force ourselves to take an extra day off and get out of town. This cabin was perfect! We talked to the owners a bit through the website before booking, which was a painless process. When we arrived it was late, so they met us the next day to collect payment and talk us through using the hot tub and such. Very nice! It was gloomy while we were up there, so we stayed in the whole time and cooked and played the board games that were in the cabinet – very content travelers. The kitchen is fairly well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and condiments and is spacious, with plenty of room for the four of us to cook together. The bedrooms are pretty chilly, but the beds have heated pads and plenty of sheets so we were cozy. The price was more than fair, the hot tub was really well maintained and the views were amazing. We’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful Cabin

Rated 5 out of 5
February 11, 2015

We have been coming to the Pine Creek Cabin every February for 5 years now. We love it! There are other houses around but the cabin is positioned so you don’t feel like anyone is really close. The hot tub is a wonderful place for watching sunset. The picture windows in the front of the cabin give you amazing views of the mountains and Estes Park below. Almost every day there is wildlife wandering around. A quick drive into town or to RMNP gives you the chance to do anything during the day if you want to get out and about. Most of what you need for cooking is available in the kitchen. There are games, books, cable TV (in each room) so plenty to do without bringing everything and the kitchen sink. This cabin is for everyone – we can tell you from personal experience! Romantic getaway – we got engaged there. Perfect for a quiet retreat – we worked through all our adoption paperwork, etc. there. Family home – after adopting 3 girls, we brought them for the first time this last Feb and had a wonderful time! Snow makes the long driveway difficult at times, so make sure you have 4WD or AWD if snow predicted. One year we have had to park the car well down the drive and walk our stuff up – but this cabin is worth whatever you need to do to spend some time there. We look forward to every Feb trip. This year there were no big dressers in either bedroom, so we couldn’t put much of our clothes away (but you can hang things in large closets). Kind of a bummer, but not a big enough issue to worry about. The bigger things are being really comfortable, being able to cook some meals and feeling like you’re out of the way enough to rest and relax – check, check and check!

Pine Cabin! A wonderful place to go!

Bad poetry, great cabin! Relax and slow down for days at the cabin, or go-go-go for days in RMNP(sightseeing/hiking/snowshoeing/sledding) and Estes Park(shopping, dining). This is a great place to stay for up to 5 people (perfect for two couples).

The driveway gets plowed, but can be difficult in winter (I’ve always made it without 4WD, but needed chains a few nights – the website says 4WD needed in winter – just be aware!)

Real wood fireplace is wonderful – as is hottub.

Cozy, comfortable, Highly recommended!

I am sitting at the kitchen table enjoying the view! We have had a great stay in this little cabin and would be happy to recommend it to others. We found the cabin clean and well equipped for our needs. It is just like it is pictured except the pictures do not show the peacefulness and the true beauty of watching the sun set or rise and the change of light on the view. Watching the full moon rise over the mountain was beautiful. Our 11 son said it best, Great cabin: nice and cozy, great view and a hot tub! Location to town and RMNP was perfect and the view was fabulous. We prefer not to be right down town so the location was great with the drive to downtown being only a few short minutes – perfect for us. We enjoyed the hot tub almost every night and grilled out several times too. I liked that the washer/dryer was inside the cabin off the livingroom – rather than in a basement or garage. Also having a dishwasher was wonderful. A few mornings we would wake up to mule deer in the yard which was fun. Enjoyed RMNP very much with great family hikes, fishing and trail rides. The pictures don’t do this place justice. This cabin was AMAZING – the views, the quietness, the amenities such as the hot tub and fireplace – all better than we had imagined. My husband and I stayed for a couple nights to celebrate him getting his phD. We just wanted rest, relaxation and tranquility so we basically didn’t leave the cabin the whole time. We just took in the views the whole time, had coffee out on the patio, read on the patio – took a few dips in the hot tub throughout the evening, and then ended the night in front of the fireplace. For this price you can’t get anything better. We are definitely coming back next winter!! My wife and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon and loved every minute of it. This cabin is absolutely wonderful, and we will stay here again when we are in Estes Park. It’s beautiful, fun and quiet. The location is excellent. You will definitely enjoy the hot tub, the grill, and the snowshoes if you get a chance to use them.Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Girls Getaway, Adventure Seekers, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway.

This was the perfect getaway! It was quiet, quaint, and the scenery was spectacular. I saw a lot of deer and elk not far from the cabin, and the Rocky Mountain National Park was just a couple of minutes away. The hot tub was a plus after a day of hiking! If you’re looking for a peaceful place to “escape”, I recommend this cabin!Recommended for: Girls Getaway, Adventure Seekers, Romantic Getaway.

This Cabin was awesome! We spent the days hiking in RMNP, takes minutes to get to from the cabin, and late afternoons sitting on the porch enjoying the incredible vista. Hot tube was nice addition after a long day of hiking. Kitchen had all the basics, really enjoyed the stay and will stay there again in a second.Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Adventure Seekers, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers.

Don’t even bother to look further. This is the cabin you want. The view is breathtaking!!! These pictures don’t do it justice. The cabin is clean, private hot tub on the deck, and you can hike around the mountain behind. We saw some wildlife as well. There are no close neighbors so it’s very private. The washer/dryer is a huge plus and they even supply the soap. Will stay here again for sure!!Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Girls Getaway, Adventure Seekers, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers.

We stayed in this cozy cabin for a week in Aug. We had a wonderful vacation! Cabin is clean and the view is awesome! Enjoyed the hot tub too. We’ll definitely rent again for our annual Estes Park vacation. Can’t wait to return!

We were so happy with our stay there. We ended up in a blizzard on our way up, but the view from the large window the next morning was well worth it! the owners of the property have taken excellent care of it. A very positive experince!

A very quiet place (no need to bring your swimming suits if you don’t want to!).
